Dr. Torhan Al-Mufti is a distinguished Iraqi statesman, scientist, and strategic advisor with over 27 years of service in the Iraqi state. He currently serves as the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Water Affairs, where he leads national studies on water resources and climate change.

A highly versatile leader, he has held multiple ministerial-level positions, including Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Acting Minister of Communications. His career is defined by a unique intersection of scientific expertise—holding a Ph.D. in Geology specializing in satellite remote sensing—and executive governance.
